I’m encountering an issue with Webflow where it seems to ignore the aspect ratio settings I’ve applied to images. I’m hoping someone here can help me resolve this.
Problem:
I’ve set a fixed aspect ratio for images in my Webflow project in the class “slider-image” and set it to cover, but it appears that Webflow isn’t honoring these settings. The images are not displaying in the desired aspect ratio, which is affecting the layout of my page.
Details:
Using the class "slider-image* with ratio (16:9) and fit cover
The ratio is often correct at the beginning but then changes of its own accord
Questions:
Are there any known issues or bugs in Webflow that affect the enforcement of aspect ratios?
Are there any best practices or workarounds that could help me solve this problem?
I appreciate any tips or experiences you can share. Thanks in advance for your help!
thanks for coming back so quickly, it looks often okay but then it broke. For example this is a recording from the staging and you clearly cann see that the second picture is much bigger. Introduction - 10 May 2024 | Loom
Could it something with my cookies? if this doesnt happen for you?
cookies have nothing to do with CSS. I have checked this page in Chrome and I see what you are experiencing. I see issues with slider and its mask. You should focus on this part to fix it. In Safari all looks fine but other browsers have issues.
Hi @Andreas_Keim1,
Please try setting the width of both images to 100% and height to auto. You at least need to provide one solid measurement for the aspect ratio to work properly.
