I tried to change my elements from pixels to % and it caused the whole designer and website to go blank, not sure how to fix it, think I should start again?

First your project is not empty (only your main/homepage).

Maybe by mistake, you set empty/new page to be your main page (main v2 is not empty).

Also check your site backups.
