Header Scroll Animation Not Triggering

I’m trying to get the header text in the hero section to move horizontally across the screen while scrolling.

As of now nothing happens. I’ve tried creating the animation with other triggers and it works, I’m guessing it has something to do with how I have the scrolling configured? I have scoured the internet to find some insight, but have hit a block and am desperate. Any insight you’re able to offer would be incredible!

Thank you so much,

Hello @darby_tarlow,
welcome to the community! So your animation trigger wasn’t working because you’ve applied it to the heading. It should be triggered by the section where the heading is in. I made a quick video about it Fixing Animation Issue 👩‍💻 | Loom
I hope it helps!

Pablo, words don’t describe how grateful I am to you for taking the time to troubleshoot and reply!

I followed the steps exactly in the video…and it’s still not working for me. I’m not sure what’s going on there. I definitely applied the animation to the section instead of the header and the animation has the header as the target…I’m wondering if I’ve uncovered a weird bug.

Might you have any more suggestions or additional trouble-shooting advice?

Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to help out!!

Hello @darby_tarlow,
you were just missing an initial value for your interaction here is a short video on how to fix that issue Troubleshooting Animation Interactions | Loom
I hope this helps!

Pablo!! You are incredible. Never in a million years would I think that I’d need to manually set this initial value from anything but what’s already displayed as the default.

Thank you so much for all of your help! I would not have found this on my own! I hope you have the best week ever and everything you could possibly hope for goes your way.
