Grab referrer from URL and drop into hidden form field

I’m working on a collaborative email course with a handful of thought leaders in my industry and I’d like for each of us involved to be able to share the course through a unique referral link, something like http://website.com/?=myName.

I’d like to be able to pass the “myName” portion into a hidden form field so that it gets sent to my email company when someone signs up for the course.

Anyone know how I’d accomplish this?

On my phone right now, will update with a public share link when I get to a computer.

You can do this with custom cod e/ jquery.

You need to hand type the code though. There’s a strange hidden character being displayed on stackoverflow.

The remaining also uses jquery to add the parm value to a the hidden field.
