Google new search index issue with .html adding / to .html url, will not crawl

Good Day,

Googes new index console and the .html are now a probelm

it is impossible to have pages in a site url inspected

example: you enter site page in url box to add url
https://joeblow.com/page1.html

google then lists page as
https://joeblow.com/page1.html/

note the /

it will then tell you page is not on google and it goes nowhere and no way to add the page

I have many I have been crawing for years… never this issue

the .html is becoming an issue

I have no clue what to do from there

the code t render the url without .html was working fine but seems had no relevance to this issue, I removed it and no change…

so it seems we now need the /

any ideas??

issue

Hi, @TimPhillipsDesign!

Ben here with the Webflow Customer Support Team!

Are you using Webflow to host your site? We don’t add .html to our pages here.

I would recommend hitting up a 3rd party SEO expert for more help. Or, you can reach out to Google directly for support.

Also, you can always host your site here at Webflow!

Let me know if you have any other questions and I’ll be happy to assist you further!
