Google Index Error

Hi, I’ve recently published an e-commerce website and my client is experiencing a Google Indexing error. Can anybody advise on how to fix this or is this something not to worry about?

The part where you look at which page(s) are throwing a 404 is really essential. Look at the list and work with the client to see if you need that on the new site. If so, add it or add a redirect on Webflow to another resource in your project.

Usually, a 404 error occurs when a web page URL or its content has been removed or deleted.
Ways how you can fix these:

  • Generate the XML site map first,
  • Check the URL, if there’s any error on the URL
  • Delete the browser cache and cookies

You can try and check with these above-mentioned ways. If still, you’re facing the same problem then reach out to your technical person and tell him/her to carry out the 404 error through “Domain redirect”.
