Getting collection item posts to populate

Happy Friday, Webflow-ers

Question about collection item posts.

I can get my blog posts to populate (from the CSS) on the home page no problem. But when I created a new page (so I could gather all the blog posts according to theme), I can’t get them to populate and it just looks like this:

I’m sure I’m following the same instructions but I can’t be.

Thanks in advance

Hi @jmarygraham Julia, after some further review of your site I created a video for you. Hope this helps with your troubles and explains a bit more for you.

Thanks so much Brandon! I really appreciate it :). Sorry I’m just replying now. I was on holiday. I’ve followed your advice and managed to populate the images and headings. And to organise it I tried to use the columns but I can’t get the blog posts to go side by side in the columns, only under each other. Even if I use control command.

I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong.
I also tried the table and that was a mess.
Thanks in advance

EDIT: It’s on the Travel/Life abroad page.
And here’s the read only link: https://preview.webflow.com/preview/just-julia-blog?utm_medium=preview_link&utm_source=designer&utm_content=just-julia-blog&preview=fa3a74d5452e09ac3abb826b3d152020&pageId=5d2270e62e58b73873cc8212&mode=preview

Hello Julia. To get things to work how you want, please follow the following steps:

  1. Take all the CMS Content out of the columns and place them as a direct child of Collection Item
  2. DELETE the columns element from inside the Collection Item
  3. Select the “Collection List 2” element, and set its display: grid

That should get the job done. Let us know if you need something else. Happy designs

Thanks very much Jeandcc. I’ve deleted the column element (https://preview.webflow.com/preview/just-julia-blog?utm_medium=preview_link&utm_source=designer&utm_content=just-julia-blog&preview=fa3a74d5452e09ac3abb826b3d152020&pageId=5d2270e62e58b73873cc8212&mode=preview) but I don’t know how I get to display: grid.
Where is that option? Thanks

You select the collection list , and on the right hand side you’ll have a horizontal list with display settings : (Block, Flex, Grid, Inline , Text, None). Just select the grid one and you’ll be fine
