My client has a FTP website and now they want a website built in Webflow.
Is it just to link/direct the domain name in Webflow or is it more complicated then that?

FTP means they have their own server/hosting elsewhere. By pointing their www subdomain to Webflow for Webflow hosting, you can forget/ignore the old version on the previous server.
