When you add a custom form action URL to your form, Webflow will no longer send form submission notifications since the custom action bypasses Webflow’s form processing. This is because the form data is being sent directly to your external form provider instead of going through Webflow’s system first.
To ensure proper setup, you can find the form action settings in the Designer by selecting your form element and navigating to the Settings panel. Verify that the form action URL is correctly pasted and that the form method (POST or GET) matches your form provider’s requirements. If you need to receive notifications, consider using Webflow’s native form handling or implementing notification functionality through your external form provider.
Hopefully this helps! If you still need assistance, please reply here so somebody from the community can help.
Your Basin setup should be effective at handling legitimate form submits, and filtering them for spam, but that won’t necessarily block Webflow’s gateway from receiving direct spambot traffic.
I always setup Basin, and then remove all emails from Webflow’s notifications list. It will still get gateway spam, but it doesn’t affect me or my clients.
