Finsweet combine lists - how to get items from second list throughout the combined list

I have a combined list on my resources page, but the second list just populates at the bottom of the first (last 3 items). Is there a way to get those items from the second list to be distributed throughout the combined list?

Have you tried implementing Finsweet’s CMS Sort with CMS Combine?

You can try sorting the lists by default using simple custom code or have a sorting element in the UI to sort it alphabetically or via some identifier in the collection list, whichever fits your use-case. Hope this gives you some idea.
