File size & Symbols with Webflow

Hi All,

In a symbol, when there is an image inside and there are multiple same symbols used throughout the same page, does this add more file size?

Yes it will. Make sure your file size is under 100k so that it will not slow down your page load speed.

It shouldn’t. If you are using the same image source, it should cache it once on the user’s browser and load it for each instance. But you still should maintain smaller file sizes. 100k is good for inline images, background images can be under 300k. Tinypng.com can help compress them without noticeable quality loss.
