Feedback on my Webflow 3D “Add to Quote” E-Commerce Style Build (No Checkout)

Hey everyone :waving_hand:

I am currently building a 3D enabled product catalog and quote request system for a client (Zoom Recreation, LLC) and wanted to share my plan to see if anyone in the community has tackled something similar or has feedback before I move into development.

Project Overview

The site features playground structures and shade systems.
There is no checkout or payment process involved. The goal is to create an e-commerce style browsing experience where users can explore 3D products and add them to a quote request.

Key Goals

Create a single unified Products CMS collection that consolidates Playgrounds, Shades, and Amenities.
Use Finsweet Attributes or Jetboost for multi select CMS filtering with instant results.
Integrate Cloudinary for hosting and displaying 3D product previews.
Add a custom “Add to Quote” feature using localStorage so users can collect multiple products.
Connect the quote form to HubSpot, automatically passing product names into hidden fields as line items.
Keep everything running on the Webflow CMS plan without upgrading to E-commerce.

Workflow Summary

  1. All Products Page – Filterable product grid with “Add to Quote” buttons.

  2. Product Page – 3D Cloudinary viewer with detailed specs and visuals.

  3. Quote Page – Displays saved products and includes a HubSpot form with hidden fields (line_items_text and line_items_json).

  4. Form Submission – Sends quote data to HubSpot and clears the saved cart.

Why CMS instead of E-commerce

The client does not need inventory, variants, or checkout.
The CMS approach keeps the structure lean, loading fast, and easy to maintain while still delivering a complete shopping style experience.

Questions for the community

Has anyone implemented a similar quote based workflow with Finsweet and HubSpot?
Are there performance or UX issues when using localStorage for storing cart data in Webflow?
Would upgrading to an E-commerce plan provide any meaningful advantages for this kind of setup?
Any tips or lessons learned for embedding 3D assets efficiently within Webflow using Cloudinary or other platforms?

Appreciate any insights, especially from those who have built CMS based quoting systems. Thank you in advance.
Matt

Hi @MBK_Web-Design.
Josh with Foxy here. You can easily layer Foxy into your CMS flow/data, store cart sessions, allow for checkout without payment, and sync customer/quote data to Hubspot (via Foxy Automations, Make, Zapier, Pipedream, etc.).

Face value, this sounds like a super straightforward setup. More info on our seamless Webflow integration here: https://foxy.io/integrations/webflow
