FAQ card expand not working on live site

Hi there,

Not sure if this is a bug or not. But when I expand the FAQ’s they hide behind the below card. This does not happen in the design preview but only happens on the live site which is bizarre…

Please help!

I was able to preview the page. So when I now try to view the read-only link I get a 404.

You should not be using absolutely positioned dynamic items. This is where your issue lies.

The dynamic items were set to relative positioning before, not absolute. I have just changed them to static now.

Still, unfortunately, having the same issue…

I had a chance to circle back on this. Thanks for updating the read-only. The absolute positioning I mentioned was a result of inline styles created by your interactions on the up-down arrows (trigger).

So you need to look at how you are approaching interactions for the effect you want.

I would also consider not using them on anything but the desktop. Why make people click/tap to read?

I agree that this does not need to expand on mobile. I actually don’t think it needs to expand at all. It’s just an extra step the user has to take. It’s unnecessary, in my opinion, but this is what the client wants…

Do you have any suggestions on how to set up the interaction so the questions don’t overlap on expansion? I’ve tried different things and I’m at a loss…

Hi @webdev, thanks but I already tried that and still not working on live site…

I tried again. Still no luck on the live site.

It boggles my mind why it works in preview mode but not on live site.

Since I can’t make changes and publish your project, I modified one I used for another demo and configured something similar. I normally place text elements inside div elements as wrappers to control styling and bind my interactions to the div elements.

Hey @webdev thanks for your persistence on this but I’m really at a loss here. I’ve set this up properly and have done a set up like this many times in the past but have never had an issue. I’m beginning to think it’s a bug in the site at this point…

I’ve double checked your demo to check again (for the hundredth time) and still no luck. It works on the preview page but not on the live site. I’m going insane over this. It should be so simple and I can’t figure out what’s wrong…

@webdev would you mind emailing me? I could give you access to my account so you could have a look directly?

I’m running out of possible solutions and this project is already 3 weeks overdue for my client…
