Since the Google update on 24th July, I’ve noticed a site I’ve built constantly saying “Insecure Content Blocked”. When I investigated further I can see the offending articles in the console. It looks to be the software used to embed videos ‘natively’ in Webflow; embedly. All the videos the site is hosting have https URLs so this shouldn’t be happening but it’s causing the site to have some serious load problems with the videos taking a long long time and the non-secure message being displayed after I select to run unsafe scripts.
What’s going on with the video upload tool? Is anyone else experiencing this?
I’ve included shots of what you’ve asked for. The videos using Embedly for Webflow seemingly embed ising the CDN and the links are http which is causing the site to display the non-secure . It is seemingly really slowing down the site load times.
I was able to create a clone of your project, however I was unable to reproduce the issue as you may notice the HTTPS version loads the videos: https://excel-944b94-youtube.webflow.io/
Base tag was set to http rather than https - I’ve now changed this to https and the sites working fine. Can’t say I fully understand why but I will settle for that.
