Editable Symbol follows Deleted Interaction Steps

A Symbol becomes editable by double-clicking on it.

If you create an Interaction for an Editable Symbol

  • that sets the Opacity of the Symbol to ZERO
  • or moves the Symbol off-screen… (down 100% for example)

…then DELETE the Interaction

  • while the Symbol is still editable…

the Symbol will maintain the steps established

  • by the now deleted Interaction.

The only way to fix this…
(make the Symbol editable) then while editable…

  • create a New Interaction
  • and Add a Transformation Step in Initial Appearance
  • or Add a Trigger… then Add a Transformation Step in the Trigger.

This immediately resets the Symbol.

Since it’s a (new / empty) Interaction

  • you can safely delete the newly created Interaction.

@Revolution thank you for sharing this! I’m trying to reproduce this behavior but have not been able to do so.

What sites are you seeing this issue occur in? When did it start occurring? Can you send me the site Read-Only links please?

Please send me screenshots or a screen recording of the behavior you’re describing.

Can you please try the following:
(1) Try to reproduce the error while being logged into Webflow using Incognito mode with browser extensions turned off: Browse in private - Computer - Google Chrome Help
(2) If the problem persists, please take a screenshot of your Console and send it to me: Chrome DevTools - Chrome Developers

Could you please let me know what browser version you’re using by sending me your information from this page?

There should be a small share link when you visit the page which you can send to me.

Thanks in advance!
