Edit Mode vs. Legacy Editor

I’m a bit confused about the “Edit Mode” vs. the Editor.

I build sites for my clients and host it for them. In the past, I would add up to 3 client admins into the legacy editor so they could work on content, add collection items, etc.

Now… with editor mode, they need to access the back end via the dashboard… but my clients don’t have access to my dashboard.

How do I set up clients so they can access edit mode when they A) don’t have their own webflow accounts (nor want one), and B) I need to keep client sites in my own workspace.

You can give them access now, at the cost of a “limited seat” per user, or you can keep using the legacy editor until the migration to client seats occurs, expected early 2026.
