Dynamic Collection List / Dropdown Solution

Hi all,

Share link: https://preview.webflow.com/preview/good-stuff?utm_medium=preview_link&utm_source=dashboard&utm_content=good-stuff&preview=d482ba3ff2b5052fd1c53753582de48f&mode=preview

About halfway down the page, I have a dropdown that is linked to a collection item (categories).

I would like to be able to select a category from the dropdown, and then all the corresponding articles (sorted new to old) would show up in the div below.

Is this possible?

Thanks,

Me too (notification)

As the creator of Jetboost, I’m obviously biased, but you can definitely use https://jetboost.io to do this. Here’s a site that is using Jetboost to power dropdown filters similar to what you’re looking for, Hire Freelancers in New Zealand | Unicorn Factory.

If you’re comfortable working with Javascript code you could also check out MixItUp or Isotope, two JS filtering libraries commonly used with Webflow.

Hope that helps!
Chris

Great, thanks Chris. I’ve just signed up and will test it out.

Hi Chris,

How can I make this Multi filter dropdown using Jetboost? Are there any tutorials or examples available. Thanks!

I already created the on page search & checkbox level filter using the Jetboost and both the filter working fine. But couldn’t find the dropdown option anywhere.

Hi Rohit,
You can use Webflow’s dropdown component with any Jetboost filter. Here’s a short video demonstrating how to do that: Loom | Free Screen & Video Recording Software | Loom

Hope that helps!

Thank you so much Chris for the help.

Can we also make the reset filter in jetboost?
