Hello, to everyone and I since I am pretty new the questions might be really easy for some of you…
Is there a way to use the different items in the dropdown menu to trigger different actions?
Example I have a list with three choices and I want when you choose the second one to open my “second” button, etc.
thanks to all in advance
Milena
Hi @mnmdesign, welcome to Webflow and to the Community Need Help pages You can setup an interaction on your list items to target some other element with a named class.
For more information on our interactions, check out http://interactions.webflow.com/.
If you need help with your site, could you update your post with some more information so we can help you faster? Things like your read-only link, and screenshots of the elements in question really speed things up.

Thanks in advance!

Hello Dave,
thanks for responding
This is the link to the page I am trying to setup…
http://uspresort.webflow.io/signup
I was able to set the trigger halfway … as soon as you click on “choose plan” the “subscribe” button comes up
I want when you select different plan the respective button (with set price link) to comes up… The buttons are created in PayPal.
I wasn’t able to figure this. I went through the interactions and help menu
I will appreciate the help or suggestion to achieve the idea in different way.
Best,
Milena
Maybe try using the tabs widget, that sounds like a solution that would work for you.
Or doing a Show/Hide interaction on click for each button which will effect a different element. So if you want to show one pricing option, set the click to hide all others but show the one you want to see. And do the same for each button. Does that make sense?
Let me hop on my computer and take a look
Thanks Waldo,
yes everything make sense …
the thing is that I was unable to find how to select different items from list as trigger
when I select the dropdown menu and go to interaction I didn’t find a way to select single item from the list but the whole menu… if I am missing something please let me know…
thanks again Milena
@mnmdesign after looking at your page, you may need to use a Drop Down widget instead of the drop down form element to show/hide the correct form/subscription button. This would allow you to have 3 or 4 different forms which are all hidden on load except maybe the basic one. Then when you click drop down and select a different subscription model, you have to put an interaction with that button to hide all the other forms and only show the appropriate form.
I’m referring to this drop down widget: http://tutorials.webflow.com/adding-a-dropdown-menu
Use it instead of the form drop down element.
Then use this show/hide tutorial to help you learn to show/hide different elements (you can have multiple interactions per a button, so you’d need several click interactions to make sure other forms are hidden)
Or a simpler solution would be to use just tabs with subscription name on the tab, and the specific subscription model/link within each tab section.
Please let me know if you have any other questions on it
Thank you,
Waldo
Thanks Waldo will try now and let you know …
Anytime always happy to help, let me know if you have any other questions.
Waldo,
I think it worked… just have to decide what to do with the choice that doe not require payment… but that later
One small issue, if you click on any of the plans and click back everything works fine. But if you first click on “basic” for example and then click straight to “advanced” w/out second click on “basic” the buttons usually sit one over another w slight height difference even though in the settings everything is the same… any thoughts
thanks,
Milena
Can you post this review link please?
You are currently just sharing a link of your site. Please follow the guidelines here and send a read only link. Share a read-only link | Webflow University
I did something different … created different signup page for each plan
I think it more clear and looks fine?
I kep the original signup in case you want to take a look of the issue posted before…
thanks a lot
Milena
That looks great @mnmdesign nice work! Either the tabular or the new page approach works. I recommend the tabular because you are then keeping your user on the same page instead of moving them to a new one. Nice work!
Thanks for the nice words and for all suggestions.
