Do new search results take affect instantly?

On my client’s site they just created a new blog post. I just tried using site search to pull up that post in search results. However, the blog post does not populate even when using very unique words from the post itself.

This post just went live on the public site today so I’m curious if the search results take time to index?

I ask because I can see other blog posts when I try other search queries. So, it’s not an issue of ALL blog posts not being shown.

Hi @pritchettnick

The search results automatically get re-index every 12 hours. You can also do a manual indexing once an hour.

Haha. I literally just came back here to post that I found ^ that. I ran the index and it’s working properly now. Thanks so much for following up!
