Displaying data from external API in specific text lines

Hi,

Basically I want to display variable data in text form coming from an external database using an API.

My idea is basically to take the ID of the text element in webflow and replace it with the content I choose from the external database.

I found a way to do it with javascript but they only talk about blocks of data, ie replacing whole divs with various data within that div. I’ve tried adapting it to only replace one element but I don’t have much experience and it doesn’t work for me.

I would appreciate if someone has an example or how I could do it.
