Different NAV behaviors on different pages?

I am using a few different templates for my site and i like the horizontal scroll on my home page - in order to use this, i think my nav bar should be fixed so it is always in view during horizontal scroll. on other pages, though, i want it to be sticky so it scrolls out of view of my work. i am having difficulty in using two instances of my nav bar - i even tried to create 2 different components to see if i could use them both differently and it seems like webflow doesn’t like that. each time i try my whole editor crashes. thoughts?

Hi Gracie,

I can’t say regarding the designer(?) crashes, you may want to contact support about that.
However one technique I use often for varying layouts is nested components.

e.g.

Component - Sticky positioning
   Component - Nav
Component - Fixed positioning
   Component - Nav

If you can isolate your positioning rules well into wrapper divs this works well, and avoids the need to maintain two separate navs.

@memetican Hello! So, that did work. Thank you!

But now, the links on my home nav don’t work. when i go into the designer to check if the links are broken it appears they are still there, so I’m not sure why they aren’t registering now! Any ideas?
