It’s common for to build a Webflow site for the “brochure” part of the site, and then separately an app that’s hosted separately. This gives a lot of design flexibility on the marketing and information side.
Webflow’s not designed to build apps, and for this type of system it sounds like a listing system? User accounts, listings, ability for users to add/edit/remove listings. ability for other users to view listings.
That’s possible to build into a Webflow hosted site if you’re a developer and use a number of 3rd party services. I’d recommend MemberStack for the user accounts. You can probably store your listing data in the the Webflow CMS, but you’d need to do some programming for your user-specific add/update/delete functions and pages.
For that, you can program with serverless functions against Webflow’s API, or possibly use an automation platform for the integration. Here I’d actually lean into something robust like Pipedream, but it’s developer-oriented. Make is another option but it can be glitchy to setup. Zapier is another, but expensive and has its own limitations. Possibly the easiest setup interface though.
Webflow is a good start, but for more features, consider a robust CMS or custom development. Platforms like Scrapo and Rematter offer great inspiration. Connecting with developers experienced in marketplaces could help scale your project. I had to send a collection of large e-books and research papers to my study group for an important project. Instead of breaking them into smaller files or using multiple emails, I used Filemail to send everything in one go. It was quick, reliable, and saved a lot of time for all of us!
