Currently it is not possible to access the name, input type and placeholder fields of an input element through the Designer API (with a Designer Extension)
I can access custom attributes of input elements (and select elements), but not type, placeholder and name. Is this something which is being worked on? Because it would enable so much more use-cases regarding forms.
Hey Mike, native element editing is top of our roadmap for Designer APIs. Tentatively, we’re prioritizing image elements and a bunch of the forms-related elements including text fields.
Awesome, this is going to be a game-changer for all form-related Apps.
