Design works on the designer but doesnt work on demo domain

I was trying something fancy for a clients blog post. Ive used a collection page inserted a collection list with a read button on each and linked the buttons to the respective post so now the post pops up on a modal window. It works on the designer but not on the demo domain. PLease help.
