I had a small problem on my website and wanted to hire a designer
I only shared the link to the website, as I connect today I see that someone messed up the design (removed pictures) how is that even possible

If you shared the read-only designer link or a published site link, there is no means for others to make changes to your design. Chances are you’re seeing something else. It’s impossible to guess without the links and without knowing what photos you’re expecting to see.
If you gave them your login or guest-invited someone into your workspace to make changes, then they can make changes. In the worst case you could restore from a backup.
