Customise order of CMS elements

So I have case studies that I add to the CMS in the Webflow site. And they are displayed in a collection list.

However, I need a way to customise the way the CMS elements are ordered, I can only seem to be able to sort by date published. And as I am transitioning these case studies over from another site the published dates don’t reflect reality.

Is there a way to create a custom order value that sorts them?

@Henry-Russell the best way to make custom order is to create a field in the CMS for order and then sort them by that field.

The downside is that it will need to be manual, but it will allow you to place the case studies in any place.

Hi @Carlos_Ruiz_Del_Vizo I have the same issue. Which one makes order field?

You could just make a number field, then in each CMS entry assign a number in that field e.g. “1,2,3,4,5” then sort using that number.

Hey,

I have ordered them on CMS using sort and published. But it didn’t change anything and when I came back to CMS order, it was replaced with same old ordering. Could you please help.
