The editor does not have any customization APIs or extension features.
I believe the editor will be deprecated in the near future and instead, Webflow will encourage Edit mode in the Designer.
Hopefully not, that would be catastrophic for a portion of our clients.
My team is seeing indications of good investment in the Editor lately with the addition of Markdown support, nested lists, code blocks… it’s been great to see such useful features developing.
Yeah, they haven’t made any notice about it but it’s probably going to happen since Edit mode can do everything the Editor can. They also replaced the Editor as one of their features with Edit mode on their website.
