Creating a text action within a slider

Hey all,

So I started building a slider in this site and I want each of the four categories to be able to be pressed and the appropriate slide would populate. I can’t seem to figure out how I could make the text be a button that pushes the slider to the next window.

Am I taking crazy-pills in what I want or do you all have any suggestions?
