Are you asking about how to create a separate site on a subdomain like site2.mysite.com?
same domain but yes, a subsite – basically instead of www..com it would be www..com/hospitals or www._____-hospitals.com
If it can be a subdirectory of your current site,
e.g. www.mysite.com/hospitals then you can simply create it.
You can just give it a separate nav and footer, and use a distinct set of classes to style it differently if you choose to.
The reasons you’re trying to do this matter, because the sitemap, etc are all merged with your main site, so you need to decide what you’re wanting from an SEO perspective.
www.mysite-hospitals.com is a different domain so it’s easiest to just create and host a second website.
Same setup for hospitals.mysite.com, the only difference would be in the DNS setup for a subdomain.

If it’s part of the same site for SEO, then the path approach is the right way to go. This isn’t a “micro-site” traditionally, which would have its own domain, styling, SEO. It’s perhaps more like an ad landing page? Easy build.
