I am trying to add a slider that is easily editable. All the client normally does is add png images to the site into a slideshow. How would I make that easy for someone with no web development experience, since the normal slider is pretty complicated.
If you only have images you might look at just doing a grouped lightbox. That will give you image-specific slideshow, and you can easily generate your lightbox gallery from the CMS if you want it even easier to admin.
To make the slider easily editable for someone with no web development experience, you could use a user-friendly content management system (CMS) with a drag-and-drop interface for adding images. Many website builders or CMS platforms (like WordPress, Wix, or Squarespace) offer simple slideshow or image carousel plugins. These allow clients to upload PNG images directly through an interface without needing to touch code. If you’re building from scratch, consider using a pre-built, customizable slider plugin that allows image uploads and adjustments through an easy-to-use admin panel.
