Contact forms displaying different colored fonts

On my contact form, I added a selection field (How would you like to be contacted?) and it’s displaying a darker text then my other fields despite all of them being set to black at 100%.

Any idea why the difference?

The text field display the grey text because it’s a placeholder text.

You can make the label in your dropdown grey as well:
