Contact form not submitting (but still getting spam)

I’ve been testing my site and am having issues with submitting my contact form at the end. I’m quite stumped as to what’s not right about it. It doesn’t seem to respond but I thought I had it all set up correctly.

It hasn’t prevented a handful of spam instances though, even with recaptcha. Any additional advice on that would be appreciated.

Thank you!

Hi Henrik,

It looks like you have some deeper things going on with your site.

  • You won’t be able to submit from your staging site because your recaptcha is configured for a specific domain probably cxlsentinel.com
  • cxlsentinel.com isn’t setup properly, you don’t have the DNS entries in place so it cannot work
  • You have your base domain defined as the default domain. That might work, but only if you have CNAME flattening support in your DNS and the proper configuration for that

Hi Michael, thank you for the help - I’ve edited the DNS entries and will get back to you once those changes have taken effect. I’ll test the form at that point and follow up.

Cheers

Hi Michael,

Thanks for your help again, I’ve tried testing the form again (on cxlsentinel.com and sentinel.conservationxlabs.com) after making the changes you mentioned and it still is unresponsive when clicking the ‘send the message’ button. Is there something I’m still missing here?

Changes made:

You have a required checkbox field that’s hidden under styles, so the form won’t submit and the user can’t see the error message.

I’ve made it visible on style on display-block;

Options- make it visible and finish it, or delete it, or if you want to suppress it completely for now make it hidden under the visibility settings [3], this will remove it from the page.

OH! This worked, thank you for that Michael, an oversight on my part.

I appreciate the help through this.
