Confusion with the recent DNS changes

I am struggling a little with the recent ask to update DNS settings.

Initially it mentioned about adding a new CNAME, which I have done to the www. subdomain and this one is now no longer listed as needed to be updated. However…the root (none www.) version is still listed as needed to be updated, but my understanding of DNS is that a CNAME can not be added to the root???

I have looked into the publishing settings for the site and in there it too states about an update needed for the root domain, but it mentioned to update the A record to a new IP address.

The current domain has 2 IPs, is this as simple as removing the current 2 and replacing with the new one stated?

Just replace the two old A, records on the root with the single new Webflow IP, root can’t use a CNAME. Had the same setup on a client domain and it verified immediately after updating.
