Anyway what I see in your video is that you are placing gradient on background this mean that gradient is behind your image. There is several ways how to achieve your design. In your situation you need to create an extra div with applied gradient positioned absolute to be on top of image. Another way is to place your image to background and on top of this image place gradient (also in backround)
