Collection List Column Formatting

I have created a collection to display an art collection, with four columns and about 20 rows. The first row displays properly, but then the second and third rows are skip images and leave open space as shown here.

The structure I have for this section is shown here.

I am not sure why the images do now follow the four column structure. Any suggestion on how to fix this?

This is not a standard case and in order to do what you want you need to try to use a Masonry JS as custom code: https://masonry.desandro.com/
