Collab with a developer + keep using webflow - best practise?

Hi,

My developer friend wants to build some custom components for a site we are making. He is mostly using vue.js.

• For building in webflow can you just use normal JS + Jquery or is it possible to use something like vue.js?
• Is it possible to use airtable as a backend and write server-side code (in project settings?) and then code in in the page settings to pull data from airtable?

You can’t use vue.js or any server side code in Webflow.

You can use Ajax to work with Airtable API in project settings. The most common issue however is securing the API key because airtable doesn’t have built in domain white/blacklisting.

You can ask your friend to build a simple node.js function to hide/encrypt the API key externally though.
