I removed a hover state from my footer links and it still shows after I export the code. I don’t understand why the hover state won’t go away from the footer links. They are not showing in the Webflow designer, but they still get exported in the code.
----
I just re made the footer from scratch and here is how the code renders compared to what the Webflow editor shows.
Here is my site Read-Only: Webflow - Astoria Roofing Project
(how to share your site Read-Only link)
Hi there,
Thank you so much for letting us know about your exported footer not looking right.
I was able to create a clone of your project, and export it to see the same design changes that are shown in your Designer.
I did notice that the style change to “Section 11” wasn’t shown on the live site:

Would be able to attempt another export, and re-upload to your live site?
Thanks in advance, and I’ll be standing by to test for you.
I will try it again when I get back to my computer. I contacted my hosting and had them check it out also. They checked it out on their end. They said it must be in the export code that Webflow is giving out.
I just tried it and It still doesn’t look right.
Hmm, interesting. This does sound like strange behavior
Would you be able to provide the zip of your exported project to me as a personal message?
I’d be happy to take a look for you, as the export that I completed contained all of the styles as needed.
Thanks in advance, and I’ll be standing by to hear from you
Yes, how can I get you the zip file?
Feel free to complete an export of your project, and then send me a personal message including the provided zip file.
It wouldn’t let me upload the zip.
Would you be able to use https://wetransfer.com/?
That may work better for you.
Also, were you able to receive the zip file that I previously provided via email?
If so, were you able to test if the footer was displaying as expected?
I didn’t receive your zip file.
i can send you the zip file through your transfer link. What is your email?
Hi David,
I’ve gone ahead and sent you a personal message included the previous email notes.
Feel free to respond within that message.
Thanks in advance, and I’ll be here to help.
Kind regards,
Micah
Would you happen to have uploaded the provided CSS and JS files in their appropriate locations, and reference them within your exported code?
You will note in the following screencapture that the CSS file is not available: Screen Recording 2018-10-02...
This may be the reason the previous upload did not work as expected as any changes to the CSS or JS files would need to be re-uploaded to your live site as will.
Thanks in advance for uploading the files, and I’ll be standing by to take a look for you.
I took your CSS file and FTP’d it over and overwrote the CSS that was there already.
Why is the Webflow CSS not working right?
Would you happen to know the folder structure that the CSS file is placed?
Would you be able to provide a screenshot of your folder structure?
I’d be happy to take a look for you.
The following short screencapture notes the file structure of the exported project: Screen Recording 2018-10-02...
Thanks, I’ll be standing by to take a look at your file structure for you.
