CMS not Loading soon after Publishing Site

When I make changes to my Webflow site and then open it as soon as I publish, or even if I just refresh the website after a while without having made any changes to it, one of my dropdown menus, whose data source is some values from my CMS collection, fails to display any data.

However, if I immediately refresh the page again, the data manages to load the second time and the CMS correctly populates the dropdown menu as expected.

I’m wondering how I can get around the bug/issue of the data not loading the first time itself, since having users refresh the page once again to view the data is an annoying ask and less than ideal.

Can you record a video of this issue using loom.com ?

Hey @PixelGeek - here is a video of the bug as requested by you.

It would be great if you could help me figure out what’s going on!

Hi @shubham ,

Your project link isn’t working however my guess would be that the problem isn’t the collection list but instead likely the script that’s meant to run to populate your dropdown from the collection list. It may be interrupted as a result of the way you’re password protecting that page/folder/site you’re sourcing it from.

Checking your dev tools console for errors would be the place to start.
