CMS broken after trying to sort it

After spending way more time than I should have learning how to force CMS items to have a custom sort order, my CMS is now hopelessly broken and refuses to connect to content anymore properly.

Look at this. That blank space on the left is not only supposed to have an image which is already in the CMS, but I can’t even delete the thing because it will delete the one to the right of it which is correct.

What the hell even is this "Current Project crap and why is it not even allowing me to connect to my actual CMS?

For a feature that’s supposed to make things easier this one just makes everything worse because there’s no way to tell what it’s doing. How the hell is this thing that doesn’t even have proper documentation for how to use even worth paying $200 a year for?

The blank space has nothing to do with the CMS, it’s because you’re using competing layout methodologies. Most likely you have columns set to > 1 column which is an old-school layout approach.

Grids is the modern way, and the two are not compatible. If you’re using both, switch off columns by setting it to a single column, your browser will then render grids properly.

The more you understand HTML and CSS, the better you’ll be able to use Webflow. It gives you access to a lot of stuff, and it’s easy to design things that are non-functional if you don’t understand the way browsers will render your design.
