Hey all,
I just checked on my client’s website and it’s saying “Not Secure.” This seems to only happen when I type the domain without the www. The site I’m talking about is www.burnsmachine.com.
Also, in the site settings > publishing it’s saying burnsmachine.com needs to be updated. I’m trying to get the login for where the domain is hosted from the client to get this done. Could this be the issue?

Hi there,
SSL certificates are automatically enabled for all Webflow sites to ensure secure connections. When you see a “Not Secure” warning without the www prefix, it typically indicates that your domain’s DNS records need to be properly configured.
To resolve this, you’ll need to:
- Access your domain host’s DNS settings
- Navigate to your Webflow site settings and locate the required DNS records
- Update your domain’s DNS records to match exactly what’s shown in your Webflow site settings
- Wait for DNS propagation (this can take up to 48 hours)
Both the www and non-www versions of your site should be secured with SSL once the DNS records are properly configured. Webflow automatically handles the SSL certificate provisioning once the domain is correctly connected.
Hopefully this helps! If you still need assistance, please reply here so somebody from the community can help.
