Click physical address on iphone and opens up option to open up gps app

Have you ever gone to website, like a restaurant, etc. (one that has a physical address), clicked the address shown, and it opens up the address in google maps?

Oh, I don’t think its possible natively in Webflow unless you use custom code. I will add this to Code Help so the professionals at code could help you out. :wink:

@VLADinSACRAMENTO I’ve gotten it to open up in the mobile web browser with the location, but ideally I would it to open up either the google maps and/or apple maps app, depending upon device and app that they have on their phone. I feel like I’ve seen this functionally before, and only wish I had a good example.

Yes, other apps have done this along with websites… but as far as I know Webflow does not have this feature. :wink:

I just had apple map app. Once I downloaded the google maps app, it worked like a charm. I deleted the google maps because I was finding apple maps as the most optimal app at the time.

So I guess the question I should ask then is there a way to open the default gps app for any device ?

Well, that would probably take some custom javascript to do that, to first determine the device that is being used, then to construct the correct url to use (either apple maps url format or google maps url format).
