Hey Peter, my guess is a bug. If you read today’s posts you’re not the first one to mention this.

Michael, I just contacted support, can you share a link to today’s post.
I had a similar problem and was able to fix it with support.
Turns out the Radio Button for the shipping method selector was “Hidden” with visibility settings and this was causing the fail.
I would suggest checking that all essential checkout functionality isn’t accidentally set as hidden like mine was
