Changing my account email created another account instead

I just changed my webflow email to a new one. I got the confirmation to finish off on both the old and new email box, and I clicked to change. But when I logged out and tried to log in afresh with the new email I discovered I now have a brand new account with the new email.

I don’t see my two sites or dashboard–it was asking me to start building a website! Of course I was starting to panic…

But when I tried to log in with the old email, it opened again to my old account with my websites in tact.

This seems strange because I got the email notification for the change and confirmed it and got a message saying the change was done.

So now, I want to delete the new account so I can try to make the change again (it won’t allow me use an email address that is associated with an existing account). I’m afraid (irrationally) that doing so may delete the account with the two websites.

Please help. If a support team member can tell me what to do here, would be great.

For systems issues you’d need to file a support ticket.

Oh! I already tried that. It gets to the final step and then the chat rolls endlessly and you see other options, including this forum to get help :pleading_face:
