in this part:

if you look at the element nesting pattern
you will realize that your “Hero link wrapper”
should be a child of the “Hero portrait”
not the “Background wrapper”
if you remove the “Hero link wrapper” class from the “Background wrapper” class and put it in “Hero portrait” class, you will see that everything works correctly:
