Cannot figure out how to apply unique links to project blocks

I am very new to Webflow and only stepped into this project to assist after the person who started building the site had to step away for a family emergency, so I am flying a bit blind.

They set up an “Our Services” page that is supposed to show each of the services in blocks, and each service block should link to one of the different service pages.. but the whole section is set up as a “Project One Preview” or “Project One Data” and a single link applies to the whole section.

I do see that they set them up as “projects” in the CMS, which may or may not be an issue. But no matter what I do to try and create new classes or remove the link, it tends to break the styling of the blocks and I’d ideally like to keep it looking as it, but have a unique link for each of the 6 blocks on this page.

Here is my site Read-Only: [LINK]

Hey @revopcon ,

If you want to show services in the blocks, the collection source should also be ‘Services’ instead of ‘Projects’. One way to do this would be as follows:

  • Copy paste the Project One Wrap element inside the Slide 1 container.
  • Delete the Image and H3 elements inside this new pasted collection item.
  • Now, you will be able to select the source of the collection as ‘Services’ via selecting Project One Wrap element and navigating to Collection list settings on the right side bar.
  • Now you can add an image component and H3 component and link it to services related image and text and assign any styling class that you want to apply to it
  • To apply links unique to each service block, you can select the Project One Link 3 element and select the link to be ‘Current Service’ as highlighted in the screenshot below.

Feel free to apply new classes or stylings for the collection to maintain consistency in the naming structure. Hope this helps.

Thank you for this! I honestly am not sure why they were initially set up as projects.. there were several decisions made by the person who built this up to the point I took it over that were head scratchers to me. I ended up just quickly building a two-column setup manually with text, images, and link blocks. Still need some time to wrap my head around how all this works.

But I see your solution absolutely would have been the right way to go about working with the CMS elements as they were intended to be used. Thanks again for responding!
