Can you adjust the line height of single characters in a block of text?

Is there a way to transform a single character (specifically an emoji) in a block of text?

Here’s my design:

I’m trying to flip (using the transform) and bump it up a little. But neither is working :frowning:

Wrap the emoji with a span, give it a class, style as desired. Boom.

Thanks Jeff, but that doesn’t work. The only thing you can adjust this way is size and kerning.

My question is: can you change other parameters like transform or baseline shift?

You should apply inline-block to that span element and then you can transform or animate. As technically inline element doesn’t accept many CSS properties.
