Can I delete folder name from CMS collection URL?

Anyone know if it’s possible to customize the URL structure of a collection so that there’s no folder name listed?

For example, I have a CMS collection titled “Books”. So URL structure for items looks like: “www.sitename.com/books/cms-item”

I know I can customize “books” to be whatever I want, but can I delete it altogether, so the structure is: “www.sitename.com/cms-item”?

I tried just putting empty space in the relevant field, but then it auto-populates the field.

You can’t remove the collection slug from the URL. You can create a page anywhere on the site that displays one collection item via a collection list on that page.
