General feature questions here, so no need for a read only.
I currently have a wholesale product catalogue (where products = CMS items) which I intend to convert to an ecommerce (where products = ecom items), however due to the nature of the business I can never guarantee that the items that are ordered are the same ones that will be shipped. Stock changes rapidly, as well as specifications regarding them, such as weight or country of origin.
My intention is therefore to simply allow customers to place orders, which are then followed up manually by our employees, as opposed to allowing customers to purchase online. In essence, I want customers to simply send a form request with specific products in the form.
My question is: is it possible to create zero-cost products, and make checkout function more as an order confirmation rather than a purchasing check out, and allow customers to receive order confirmation emails rather than receipts?
Also, for this reason, would you suggest I upgrade to ecommerce site plan, or would you recommend that I use third party tools, such as perhaps Memberstack?
PS: Is there a native functionality to save products as favorites?
