Bizarre CSS / glyph conflict with Hubspot

I have a lead flow popup from Hubspot (a standard, default email capture form that many sites use) - for some reason on my site, the unicode “X” (00D7 is the unicode value), a glyph that is used as the close window character, does not render. If you change the value to anything OTHER than 00D7, it shows up just fine.

I cannot figure this one out, and I can’t modify the character within Hubspot - I need to do it within the Weblow CSS.

Any ideas???
