I’m building a website for a restaurant and need help integrating an online food ordering system, payment processing, and a way for each chef to receive orders on their computer.
The system should display all necessary details, including the customer’s name, address, phone number, and ordered items. On their previous website, they used a POS system that is now being discontinued, so they need a new solution.
Potential solutions I’ve considered:
Webflow E-commerce + Make + Airtable** – This setup would allow chefs to log into Airtable and view all orders in a well-formatted way, including customer details and meal preparation instructions.
GloriaFood – I’ve looked into it, and it seems to offer many features that could solve my problems. However, I’m unsure whether it can fully replace the old POS system.
I’m open to any other solutions and would love to hear the best way to integrate this setup. Any recommendations?
For a quick and reliable setup, GloriaFood is ideal as it offers online ordering, payment processing, and kitchen management tools tailored for restaurants, with minimal setup. If customization is key, use Webflow E-commerce + Make + Airtable, where Webflow handles orders, Make automates workflows, and Airtable serves as a dashboard for chefs to view and manage orders. For an all-in-one professional system, consider Toast POS or Square POS, which provide integrated hardware, software, and real-time kitchen updates. Choose based on the balance between ease of use and customization needs.
Since I will have a Menu page where all the dishes will be listed, and each dish will have its own CTA button, I was wondering—can I set up GloriaFood in a way that payments go through Webflow? Meaning, can customers purchase the dish they clicked “Add to Cart” for, without being redirected to the GloriaFood page where they have to search for the dish again? I feel that would create a bad UX. This is the main thing I’m unsure about—whether I can achieve this with GloriaFood.
Regarding Webflow + Airtable + Make, I’m curious—does Airtable automatically refresh when a new order arrives?
As for the POS system, it could be a good solution, but the restaurant is in Austria, and Square doesn’t operate there. Even if it did, I don’t think the client would accept it because Square requires dedicated hardware. Now, I still need to explore Toast POS as a potential option.
